In guiding patients through cellular detox, we label the process of cellular detoxification as "The 5 R’s of Core Cellular Detox." These five R’s serve as a road map to healing and wellness. Progressing from R1 to R5 empowers your cells to naturally detoxify, leading to a restoration of your health.
R1 – Remove the Source
The first step, known as R1, focuses on removing the source of toxicity. This initial phase is crucial, regardless of the duration or previous attempts at self-healing. Among all the R’s, addressing the root cause is often overlooked by both alternative and conventional healthcare practitioners. Merely treating symptoms without addressing the underlying cause has contributed to the widespread illness seen in our society today, where medications and surgeries are frequently used to mask the true source of health issues.
Alternative healthcare providers often resort to using supplements to manage symptoms, but this approach typically offers temporary relief without addressing the core issue. While supplements may be a safer option than medications, they only provide a short-term solution, necessitating continuous usage. By accurately identifying and eliminating the source of toxicity through our recommended protocols, true healing can begin. Some common sources of toxic health disturbances include:
R2: Regenerate the Cell Membrane
After identifying and removing the source of toxicity (R1), the next crucial step is to focus on repairing the cell. The cells in your body consist of a delicate bilayer of fat known as the "cell membrane." This membrane serves as a critical barrier, regulating the passage of nutrients into the cell and allowing toxins and free radicals to exit. When the cell membrane is inflamed, the flow of nutrients and waste is impeded, leading to toxin accumulation, poor cellular health, and eventual organ dysfunction. Additionally, the cell membrane houses hormone receptors essential for proper cell function.
Dysfunctional receptors, stemming from toxic cell membranes, are the primary cause of hormone-related disorders such as diabetes, weight loss resistance, thyroid conditions, adrenal fatigue, and fibromyalgia. Without regenerating the cell membrane, true cellular detoxification cannot occur, hindering the healing process and preventing overall wellness.
R3: Restore Cellular Energy
After removing the source of inflammation and repairing the membrane, it is now time to recharge your cells' power source, mitochondrial ATP (energy). Toxic cells have low energy reserves and recharging them requires nutrients to enter the cell. This step is crucial because a low-energy cell can lead to additional inflammation, which damages the membrane and hinders the repair process. On the other hand, a high-energy cell is naturally anti-inflammatory.
Symptoms of low-energy cells include fatigue, brain fog, muscle spasms, and pain. Lack of cellular energy is the underlying cause of many metabolic disorders, yet practitioners often focus on managing symptoms instead of addressing the root of the problem. Our cellular healing diet plan and Core Cellular Detox provides the nutrients necessary to recharge your cells and maintain optimal functioning for optimal healing.
R4: Reduce Inflammation
Without proper regeneration and restoration of energy within the cell, inflammation and oxidative stress will prevent normal cellular function and healing. The three main sources of inflammation are:
Inflammation and oxidative stress destroys normal cell function and prevents healing – the root cause of all disease processes.
R5: Reestablishing Methylation
Reestablishing methylation, the process of adding methyl groups to toxins, is essential for detoxifying the body and protecting against illness. In summary, without addressing cellular function and detoxification through methylation, true healing cannot occur.
Methylation and the process of adding methyl groups to toxins (methylation) is how your body regulates genetic expression and identifies and removes toxins safely. Because methyl groups turn on and off stress hormones, almost everyone is deficient in methylation (and therefore unable to detox). Simply put – without methylation you cannot detoxify the cell or your body and a toxic body is a diseased body. Methylation turns good genes on and bad genes off.
